Since 1996, The Washington Financial Charitable Foundation has awarded more than $950,000 in scholarships to over 250 students, helping tomorrow’s leaders achieve their goals. Leo Carder was the recipient of The Brian J. Smith Memorial Scholarship. This award was created in memory of Washington Financial Bank’s past president, Brian J. Smith, who passed away in November 2022. Brian was a dynamic community leader and led the Bank since 2006. His legacy will not be forgotten
