Upper St. Clair commissioners set Nov. 6 as the public hearing date for conditional use and preliminary and final land development approval for planned construction projects at Upper St. Clair High School.

The school district plans to construct an eight-lane pool at the high school and a multi-use complex at the high school stadium to include home and visitor-side bleacher repair and renovation, ADA compliant restroom facilities, ticket booth, concession area, announcing facilities, multi-use space available for school district and community use, and district administrative office space.

The estimated cost for the projects, which also include the completion of the Boyce athletic field facilities, is $16 million.

Also during their Sept. 25 informational meeting, the board set the following items on their Oct. 2 meeting agenda:

• Continuation of a public hearing for an amendment to the township code – zoning, to amend the definition, requirements, and zoning districts permitting massage therapy requirements,

• Continuation of a public hearing for amended final approval for a planned office center at 2600 Old Washington Road to permit enclosure of the existing bank drive through to add additional office space,

• Conditional use approval for 1810 Woodlands Circle and final land development approval for the Bank of America Building at 1801 Washington Road.

The board is also expected to hear about proposed updates to the township’s traffic calming policy during their Oct. 2 meeting.
