9/11 SERVICE The 17th annual Prayer for Peace service will be held at 7 p.m. on Sept. 11 at Holy Child Church, 212 Station St. in Bridgeville. CLOSURE The Peters Township Recreation Center will be closed Aug. 28 through Sept. 1 for floor resurfacing. The center will reopen Sept. 2. PT NEWCOMERS The Peters Township Newcomers and Neighbors Club will host a Ladies Night Out on Sept. 11 at Valleybrook Country Club. All women can attend and meet members to get to know the organization, which is a social group creating friendships since 1965. Activities include monthly Bunco, pickleball, book clubs, couples social events, wine tastings, crafts, lunch and dinner outings, Mah Jong and children's activities.
