McClintock medalist at TRICADA golf championships

Peters Township Red and White teams finished in first and second places in the Class AAA standings and Kyle McClintock earned medalist honors as the Indians dominated the Tri-County Athletic Director’s Association championships to kick off the 2021 boys golf season.

A junior, McClintock carded a 2-under-par 70 in guiding PT Red to victory with a 385 team score.

Other members of the Red squad included: freshman Ben Miller (76), juniors Austin Malley (77), Nick Wetzel (80) and Colby Wilding (81) as well as sophomore Jeremy Poon (80).

A freshman, Nick Haught took third overall with a 75 and paced the White team to a second-place showing with a 385 score.

Other members of the White team included: juniors Jake Langlois (76) and Seth Bockman (77); sophomore Brendan Kern (79) and freshmen Ryan Watterson (78) and Chris McCay (82).

South Fayette and Canon-McMillan placed third and fourth overall in the team standings behind PT.

James Cavrak and Nathan Chalovich led the Lions with low scores of 78 and 79. Trent D’Allesandro, Randy Fisher, Jaden Mizenko and Nicky Savisky also contributed to SF’s showing.

Anthony West, George Collins, Braden Gerchow, Tanner Mizenko, David Szalay and Deven Lomogo paced the Big Macs.

Waynesburg claimed the AA crown with a 408 score. Carmichaels followed in second place in the team standings, 14 strokes off the pace set by the Red Raiders.
